BFK Communications was formed by Ken Browne and Bob Holland in Denver Colorado in 1995. Ken and Bob had ended up in Denver working on a project for an international firm. The project came to an end and both Ken and Bob's family were left in Denver. Ken and Bob formed BFK to combine their expertise and create a company that focuses on quality and work ethics.

Supporting the growth of DirecTV and the satellite industry, BFK began supporting USWEST Communications to deliver video, voice and data to the multi tenant space. As BFK grew, Ken and Bob moved BFK to other markets that included. Colorado, Arizona, California, Utah and Nebraska.
